Select the link for either the iOS or Android version of the app (Membit) depending on which type of device you have. You can also search for “Membit” in the App Store/Google Play store.

Select “Download”.

Download requires wifi connection or cellular data.

Once the download has completed, open the Membit app.

The app uses your device’s location services, camera and microphone to create the augmented reality experience.
You must allow access to your location, camera and microphone, either “always” or “while using the app”.

You’ll be able to view and access the Montclair Film Festival channel when in close proximity to the Clairidge theater.

Select the Montclair Film Festival channel and click “view” to start the AR scavenger hunt.

In the top right corner of the Montclair Film Festival channel there is a map that will help you navigate to the four AR experiences.

Select the corresponding AR experience to your scavenger hunt location.

Stand on the marked “X” to align your camera with the photo outline on the screen.

You can adjust the opacity of the photo using the scroll slider on the right side of the screen- drag all the way up to see the Augmented Reality.

Select “Here” to watch the augmented reality video and don’t forget to take a screenshot!

View all four experiences and collect all four screenshots to complete the scavenger hunt.

If you’re experiencing difficulty downloading the app or viewing the AR videos, check your WiFi and/or cellular data.

If you do not see any videos in the Montclair Film Festival, check that location services is turned on in setting. Make sure you’ve given Membit permission to use your location data.
